IoT Olympian® Competition

Only Egyptian Nationaliality and permanent residents who are legally adults can participate in the IoT Olympian® Competition. University students are encouraged to compete. Techpreneurs, tech startups, or spectacular individuals who are already working or willing to work in the fields of IoT are allowed to apply.

Showcase Egypt organizes the IoT Olympian® competition in partnership with various sponsors on various levels. The purpose of the IoT Olympian® is to promote the development of IoT applications and solutions.

  • Networking with Academia, Industry leaders and Governmental Representatives
  • Participation is free of charge
  • Attendance, competition, and recognition Certificate

Showcase Egypt will not take any equity from your submitted idea/startup per the Terms and Conditions of Competition Participation.

You can participate individually or in a team with no maximum number of members.

All you need is to make sure that your idea must be related to IoT and match one of the categories.

There are no fees for participation; it's free of charge.

Solutions must be submitted electronically by January 22nd 2022 (23:59 Cairo). Please refer to the procedure guideline included in the Terms and Conditions of Competition Participation.

All completed submissions go through first filtering by a group of experts. After, the official IoT Olympian® judges evaluate and rate the application based on the following criteria:

  • Degree of innovation
  • Commercial potential
  • Technological feasibility
  • Marketing approach
  • Time to market
  • Required investments

The evaluation takes place anonymously.

Only judges and program organizers will have access to the data of participants. The personnel and experts involved in the organization and evaluation of the competition are committed to treating all matters confidentially under a signed NDA. The data will be firmly secured from any unauthorized access.

Submitted data will be distributed within organizers' internal units and affiliates. The participants must declare that they have the absolute ownership of the submitted information for the IoT Olympian® competition. Their submission is not subject to the conflict concerning intellectual and/or industrial property rights (copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade names, logos, or any other Intellectual Property Rights ("IPR").
